4 views of the Chicago Bean

Also known as Cloud Gate, the "Chicago Bean" is one of the newest interactive art pieces in downtown Chicago. Its mirrored surface and striking coffee-bean shape provide countless photo opportunities for tourists and professionals alike. Here are 4 moments I captured in late fall this year.

Posing at sunset.

A rare lonely moment in the early morning.

Two sets of tourists having fun with their reflections.

  1. I love these. The second one is my favourite, I think, but only because the first one has people in it !

  2. What a fun, pretty thing! I love the first two pictures in particular; they really show the size and awesome shiny-ness.

  3. Thanks Kari!

That's the problem with the Bean being so popular; it's always crowded!

  4. Thanks, Rita. It is a really fun piece of art, and even though it's tough to get artistic shots of it without people there, it is fun to see all the different ways people play in the mirror of it.
